This posting is going out later than I had wanted but hey that is par for the course (at least at our house). Due to a wedding in the family several family members have been out of town (the most important ones being the baby sitters)we have been doing a little time share sitting for our two girls and my little cousin. With this arrangement it was only a matter of time before it came down to me. So being the experienced, fun, cool, and just down right awesome dad, I stepped up to the task. (note: the small fact that I was able to take a day off of work had no reflection on my excitement. I did it for the children.)( ha ha ha ha )

Due to my lack of time (as always) I will not go into a lot of detail of the day but Included are a couple of pics of the days activities such as Lady bug hunting (Brianna found out that lady bugs do not do very well in a bottle of bubbles.)
The second most exciting activity of the day was swinging on the swing set (It was fun as long as dad would push them. As for Kierra she just wanted to sleep and eat all day so I let her, after she finished her chores. ( just kidding)

My favorite thing?? Fingers!

I have been talking about getting Kierra one of these seats and just hadn't done it yet. She loves it. She is always trying to sit up and can't yet by herself so this lets her be upright to check out everything that is going on. Kierra is definitely teething and will chew on anything but her favorite thing is her fingers or better yet Mommy or Daddy's fingers if she can get them in her mouth.

Today we had a small birthday for Brianna at the park with 8 of her cousins. Bri had a great time. She is so happy that it is finally her birthday. She has been waiting and waiting for her birthday. Kierra loves being outside so she had a good time too but she was all tuckered out and fell asleep on the way home.

First Cruise

On Saturday we attended one of Wesley's cousins wedding which happened to be on a cruise ship. Brianna was so excited to be on a "big" boat. She wanted to stay on it. Kierra seemed to enjoy it too. Unfortunately for us we did not get to stay on and take the cruise but we have definitely decided that we want to try cruising someday. Last Friday Brianna had 2 cousins over to play. They had a great time together. Last weekend it was 101 degrees one day. We set up the little swimming pool for Brianna to play in and Kierra got to put her feet in for a few minutes. The water was very cold but Kierra didn't seem to mind. She is growing and changing so fast. Thanks to any and all who prayed for us last week. I started back to work on Wednesday and was quite concerned about how Kierra would do (before she didn't tolerate me being gone at all). Thank the Lord she did very well for Grandma both Wednesday and Thursday.

We have enjoyed having Katrina with us for a couple of days. Thanks for coming Katrina. The girls are doing well and we have stayed very busy. Brianna started her new 3 year old preschool class today and loved it except that she said that one little girl didn't want her to love another little girl so Bri said, "I said, 'Well we can both love her because that is life'." Maybe mommy has answered "that is life" to a few to many questions of "Why?" lately. Julie

This has been a busy week for us and will be an even busier weekend so thought I better get this updated. I have been cleaning and trying to do all the things that I wanted to get done before going back to work (I still didn't get it all done but oh well.) We went to visit Mommy's friend Taone and her little girl Rachel. The girls had fun playing together. Then I found this headband and tried it on Kierra and it was so cute that I had to take pictures. Daddy will not be impressed (he does not like headbands so I usually don't put them on the girls but!!!) Yesterday when I picked Sammie and Bri up at preschool I decided it was so nice outside that we would take a little picnic to the park and they could play for a little while (it works great to wear them out.) They played and then came home and slept for quite a while. Yeah!! Well the girls are calling so I better go. Julie

Kierra is 3 months old and is such a joy. She loves to smile and coo and is making more and more new sounds. Sometimes she even surprises herself. She is usually a good baby except that she does not like to take bottles. She is having to take at least one bottle a day to prepare for Mommy going back to work next week. She takes bottles the best from Daddy but he won't be there either. Brianna loves her baby sister and "babysat" one day for a few minutes while mommy went outside for a couple of minutes. When I got back Bri told me, "She was good and didn't cry. I think you have more work you need to do and I will babysit Kierra." It is so hard to believe she is 3 months old already. Time really does fly. Julie
